Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Parwar has issued the following statement on April 9, 2025 strongly condemning and protesting the brutal killing of Jamaat activist Kabil Uddin in Sherpur Upazila of Bogura district.

“I strongly condemn and protest the brutal incident in which Jamaat activist Kabil Uddin of Goshaibari village in Kusumbi Union of Sherpur Upazila, Bogura district, was tempted by miscreants via mobile phone and then beaten and strangled to death. According to the family members of the deceased Jamaat activist Kabil Uddin, local miscreants murdered him in a brutal and heinous manner because he had opposed their wrongful and immoral activities.

I strongly urge the concerned authorities of the government to conduct a fair and impartial investigation into the killing of Jamaat activist Kabil Uddin, and subsequently to bring the perpetrators to justice, and ensure exemplary punishment against them.

I pray to Allah to accept the slain Kabil Uddin as a martyr, and I express my deepest condolences to his grieving family. May Allah bless them with the strength to endure this sorrow. Ameen.”
