Secretary General strongly condemns and protests over the murder of a Jamaat worker by terrorists in Kushtia

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar issued a statement on January 13, calling for the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the terrorists named Neo BNP who came from the fascist force's ally JSD (Inu) in Mirpur of Kushtia district.

In the statement, he said, “Jamaat-e-Islami worker Khokon Molla was killed and 35 other leaders and activists were seriously injured in the attack by the terrorists named Neo BNP who came from the fascist force's ally JSD (Inu) in Mirpur of Kushtia district. I strongly condemn and protest this incident. I pray seeking the salvation of the departed soul and express my deepest condolences to his bereaved family and the injured. I also wish quick recovery of the injured victims.

He further said, this incident took place centering the formation of a school management committee and it is very sad. When the nation is moving towards the formation of a new Bangladesh by forming unity following the fall of the fascist government through the mass uprising of students and the public, this incident is very unexpected and undesirable. We think this incident is a threat to the unity of the people of the country. This incident proves that the friends of the fallen dictatorship are trying to divide the nation in a well-planned manner. In order to improve the law and order situation in the country and also for creating an environment for holding free, fair and impartial elections, it is necessary to immediately arrest the terrorists of the fallen dictatorship and bring them to justice.

I urge the government to immediately investigate the attack incident in Mirpur of Kushtia district and quickly arrest the terrorists and murderers named Neo BNP, who are friends of fascism, from the JSD (Inu) and bring them to justice and give exemplary punishment.”
