"Recently, our attention has been drawn to the news published in some national dailies and online news portals about the speech of former Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi. Our statement in this regard is that former Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi is not a person associated with Jamaat-e-Islami. He has no organizational connection with Jamaat-e-Islami. He does not represent Jamaat-e-Islami. The statement he has made is his personal. So there is no opportunity to associate his statement with Jamaat-e-Islami. There is no room to spread confusion about Jamaat-e-Islami based on his statement. I am drawing the attention of all concerned in this matter."
