As part of the continuous program of the eight agitating parties, today, 2 December 2025, a Barisal divisional rally was held at Barisal Bells Park. The rally, which began at noon and continued until 4:00 PM, featured a speech by the chief guest, Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim Pir Saheb Charmonai, and was presided over by Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Mujibur Rahman. Top leaders of the eight parties and local leaders also delivered speeches.
In his speech, Pir Saheb Charmonai said that from today’s rally, he wants to send a message especially to those power-loving individuals who, at various times, have deceived people with enticing words, seized power, emptied the hearts of thousands of mothers, engaged in smuggling, and repeatedly prioritized thieves. He said that such people have no place on the soil of Bangladesh and must be uprooted. Those who attempt to destabilize the environment of Bangladesh have no place in the country. He emphasized that the country has been liberated through movements in the streets, freeing it from fascism. However, people did not take to the streets to experience extortion or murders.
He said that various conspiracies are underway against our country. We must unite and collectively resist all conspiracies. Those who went to power and laundered the country’s money abroad will no longer be given opportunities here. He warned those involved in extortion, tender manipulation, and station occupation, saying plainly that the ground beneath their feet has shifted. He urged them to change before it is too late. He reminded that even Sheikh Hasina had claimed “Sheikh Hasina does not flee,” yet she had to leave without consuming cooked food. Therefore, everyone in the country must learn a lesson, or else be prepared for such consequences. Pir Saheb Charmonai said that after witnessing many forms of misrule, now Islam should be given a chance. Insha Allah, we will deliver a happy, prosperous Islamic welfare state. If Islamists come to power, there will be no extortion, no injustice, no killings, and no laundering of the country’s wealth abroad. Pir Saheb Charmonai also wished for the speedy recovery of the ailing Begum Khaleda Zia and Jamaat leader Abdullah Muhammad Taher.
In his presidential speech, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami said that many of us did not like Pir Saheb in the past; he himself thought so during his student life. But today, sitting beside Pir Saheb Charmonai, he realized that he is not just a Pir but a great hero in establishing Islam in this country. He said that the eight parties have united to establish an Islamic welfare state. Allah mentions in the Qur’an two types of groups: one is Hizbullah, and the other is Hizbush-Shaytan. Therefore, we want to be on Allah’s side. Let us unite together to implement the laws of the Qur’an. We do not want man-made constitutions. We want to establish a welfare state as the Prophet of Allah did, based on the Medina Charter. Through reform, we aim to eliminate anti-Islamic provisions from the constitution.
Professor Mujibur Rahman further said that one party has been banned, but those who assisted them must also be banned. Those who do not govern according to Allah’s law are oppressors, disbelievers, and corrupt. We have not closed the doors; we call on all parties, organizations, and institutions to come together and build the country collectively. The era of the old parties is over; now it is time for a prosperous Bangladesh. Finally, he urged the people to vote for the eight parties in the upcoming elections to ensure victory.
Other speakers at the rally included Senior Nayeb-e-Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim Shaykh-e-Charmonai; Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Advocate Muazzam Hossain Helal; Central Working Committee member Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud and Principal Maulana Zahir Uddin Mohammad Babar; Ameer of Khilafat Majlish Principal Maulana Abdul Basit Azad; Senior Joint Secretary Advocate Jahangir Hossain; Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlish Maulana Jalaluddin; Joint Secretary Maulana Ataullah Amin; Vice President and Spokesperson of Jatio Gonotanrik Party (JAGPA) Rashed Pradhan; its General Secretary Professor Iqbal Hossain; Ameer of Bangladesh Nezam-e-Islam Party, Principal Maulana Sarwar Kamal Azizi; Ameer of Bangladesh Khilafat Andolan, Maulana Habibullah Miazi; and General Secretary of Bangladesh Development Party Nizamul Haque Nayeem.
