An eight-member delegation led by Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman returned to Bangladesh on the night of July 15 after completing an official visit to China. Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly received at the VIP lounge of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a team from the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, headed by the Honorable Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Yao Wen. The Ambassador greeted Dr. Shafiqur Rahman with a bouquet of flowers.

In front of the VIP lounge at the airport, Honorable Ambassador Mr. Yao Wen and Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman jointly addressed journalists in a brief press conference.

Among the Jamaat leadership present were Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana ATM Masum, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Advocate Muazzam Hossain Helal, and Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, Central Executive Committee member Principal Md. Shahabuddin, Central Executive Committee member and Ameer of Dhaka North City Mohammad Selim Uddin, and Nayeb-e-Ameer of Dhaka South City Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin.

It is worth noting that the delegation, led by Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, went to China on July 11 at the invitation of the Chinese government.
