A high-level eight-member delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami, led by Ameer of Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, has departed for China at the invitation of the Chinese government. On the night of Thursday, July 10, the Honorable Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mr. Yao Wen, along with top leaders of Jamaat, bade farewell to the delegation at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Among the Jamaat leaders who saw off the delegation were the party’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan and Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, Central Executive Committee member and Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Division Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda, Central Executive Committee member and Ameer of Dhaka North City Mohammad Selim Uddin, Central Executive Committee member Principal Shahabuddin, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Dhaka South City Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, and Dhaka South City Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud.
It is worth mentioning that the eight-member high-level delegation led by Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is scheduled to visit China until July 15, Insha’Allah.
