The countrymen want Jamaat-e-Islami to act for freeing the nation, says Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, our determination is to strive for Allah. The people of Bangladesh want freedom desperately. They want Jamaat-e-Islami to act for freeing the nation. So, Jamaat leaders have to lead the nation and to do so, they have to attain all types of skills and quality as per the requirement of the moment. We have to establish charitable and pro-people institutions like school, colleges, mosque, religious schools, orphanage, associations and club and to manage it properly. We have to ensure justice in all types of arbitration. We have to achieve public confidence through social works.

Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said this while addressing a conference of Upazila shura members in Jhindaidah today. District Jamaat organized the program which was presided by district Ameer Professor Ali Azam Mohammad Abu Bakar and hosted by district secretary Maulana Abdul Awal. Jamaat’s central executive committee member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain addressed the program as the special guests. Among others, Jhinaidah district Jamaat’s organizing secretary Abdul Alim, Assistant Secretary Principal Abdul Hie, district Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Motiar Rahman and other leaders were present on the occasion.

Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, we have been observing with deep concern that, Indian BSF members the Bangladeshi civilians at the frontiers frequently. Although, the Indian authority promised to bring the incidents of frontier murders at zero level, but practically it is increasing alarmingly. India is doing these offences due to subservient foreign policy of the Bangladeshi government. The countrymen think that, the incumbent government came to the office having Indian backup. As such, the Bangladeshi government is giving some leverage to India in return. We hope that the Indian authority will stop murders at the border area and will punish the offenders following a judicial investigation.

Mobarak Hossain said, Ibrahim (A) and Ismail (A) had set a unique example of sacrifice. Jamaat leaders have to uphold such spirit. Continuing Dawah and movement will be a major challenge for the Islamic activists in the upcoming days. Jamaat leaders have to tackle these challenges with skill and wisdom. Jamaat men have to take preparation in this regard.
