A meeting of the central Majlish-e-Shura of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held with party’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in the chair. The meeting condemned the barbarous Israeli genocide in Rafah and urged the world community to take effective steps to bring an end to the ongoing mass killing drive against the Palestinians. In the adopted proposal, the Majlish-e-Shura further revealed that, the brutal Israeli forces since last 1948, for last 75 years has been carrying out aggression and occupation against the Muslims of Palestine.
Since last 7th October, the Israeli forces have murdered more than 37 thousand Palestinians and injured another 82 thousand people. Of them 70 percent are women and kids. Even the UN aid workers, Palestinian and foreign journalists, human rights workers and volunteers are being killed mercilessly. Hundreds of thousands of people have been forcefully expelled from their homes. These homeless Gaza residents took shelter in the refugee camp. But Israeli are destroying those shelter camps as well. Civilian structures including hospital, mosques, Madrasa, schools, colleges nothing is spared from the Israeli attacks. Already 7 mass graveyards have been found in Gaza and from these graveyards, several hundreds dead bodies have been recovered already.
The hospital cannot function due to continuous bombardment and land attacks. The doctors cannot provide treatment to the patients because of the shortages of medicines and other medical equipment. Critical patients are being taken into surgery without anesthesia or pain killer medicines. The oppressed Palestinians including the kids are being compelled to eat grasses. We have no word to condemn Israeli aggression and atrocities. Jamaat-e-Islami’s central Majlish-e-Shura condemns genocide and ethnic cleansing of Muslims in Palestine.
Central Majlish-e-Shura has been observing with deep concern that more than 1.5 million persecuted and homeless Palestinians took shelter in Rafah refugee camp. They are passing days in want of food and water. Amid such humanitarian crisis, Israeli forces have been continuing ground operation in Rafah. On last 26th May, Israeli forces launched a missile on a tent in Rafah that burnt 66 alive Palestinians including babies into ashes. According to the UN, in the wake of the Rafah aggression, already a million people have been forced to leave Rafah. The UN further added that the ground operation in Rafah will cause severe humanitarian crisis. It further apprehends that, the Palestinie may witness famine by next July.
Central Majlish-e-Shura is also observing that entrance of food has been restricted in Gaza. The violent aggressors attacked a truck that contained food and subsequently prohibited food access to the town.
Central Majlish-e-Shura is of the view that without the establishment of independent and sovereign Palestine, the Palestine crisis will not be resolved. Recently, 3 European nations have recognized Palestine as independent country. Earlier, 143 member states of the United Nations also gave such recognition. Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura welcomes such steps.
Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura urges United Nations, OIC and peace-loving world and the Muslim world to take steps for ensuring sustainable peace in the Middle East by recognizing Palestine as independent and sovereign nation. The Majlish-e-Shura also pray to Allah to accept the martyrdom of the Palestinians and simultaneously praying for the quick recovery of the injured. Jamaat-e-Islami extends deep sympathy to the mournful families, to the wounded, the Palestinian government and the people.
