Chittagong region's working committee member's conference held

Israeli aggression in Gaza must be stopped, says Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said, the Israeli brutal aggression in Israel must be brought to an end. Otherwise, it will create global crisis and no super power will be able to resist it. It has become a necessity now to recognize as an independent and sovereign nation as per the recent resolution of the United Nations. Without such recognition, temporary solution will never be effective rather it will remain like a farce.

He said this while addressing a conference with the district/city Jamaat’s working committee members organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Chittagong region. Assistant Secretary General Muhammad Shahjahan presided over the conference. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan and Maulana Abdul Halim addressed the conference as the special guests.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Jamaat-e-Islami has been continuing various political, social and religious activities in line with the mentality and attitude of the people. We do not depend on any material forces or power forces. We only and truly depend upon Almighty Allah.

Our homeland Bangladesh has been suffering from various crises and challenges now. There is no standard of democracy, human rights, political and social values. Due to limited democracy and fascist approach of the ruling Awami League, the countrymen have lost their interest about casting votes or the election. If such situation continues, country’s independence and sovereignty will come under threat. The countrymen are not eager to face such situation.

Among others, Chittagong region’s team member Professor Ahsan Ullah, Principal Amiruzzaman, Muhammad Zafar Sadeq, Maulana Mostafizur Rahman, Chittagong city Ameer and former lawmaker Shahjahan Chowdhury, Chittagong south district Ameer Anwarul Islam Chowdhury, Cox’s Bazar district Ameer Maulana Nur Ahmed Anwari, Chittagong north district Ameer Principal Nurul Amin, Rangamati district Ameer Professor Abdul Alim, Khagrachari district Ameer Syed Abdul Momen and Bandarban district Ameer Maulana Abdus Salam addressed the conference.
