Hamidur Rahman Azad criticizes Information Minister for his humiliating comments against the religious leaders

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Hamidur Rahman Azad has issued the following statement on 19th April, 2017 condemning the indecent, derogatory, humiliating and uncivilized words of the Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, which he has used against the distinguished religious personnel while addressing a gathering on 18th April in Kushtia Circuit House.

“The religious leaders and scholars are very respectful figures. By making indecent and derogatory comments against them, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu actually disclosed his anti-Islamic character.

The religious scholars are engaged with the great responsibilities of preaching Islam, the doctrine of the Almighty Allah. They are performing the noble duties to build pious and religious peoples with modest characters as per the ideologies of the holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon Him). It is very natural for these religious personnel to protest if they find any type of injustice, inconsistencies and ill deeds in the society. The persons, who are making abusive words against these religious figures, are enemy to Islam.

Some controversial persons have abused the designation of the minister or the office of the parliament members through a voter less farcical election and now based on that power, are humiliating the religious leaders. As if these are two opposite aspects of their ill politics. The countrymen are observing all of their movements. They must stop humiliating the religious figures and seek pardon to the people. Otherwise, the peace loving religious people of this country will be compelled to give stern reply against these wrongdoings.
