Jamaat-e-Islami holds nationwide peaceful demonstration protesting the Israeli massacre in Gaza

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami holds nationwide peaceful demonstration across the country protesting and condemning the Israeli massacre and genocide in Gaza against the Palestinians including women and children. Jamaat activists along with thousands of general people took part in these procession and demonstration. Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman had declared the demonstration on Sunday.

Attending the programs, people of all walks expressed their resentment over the Israeli attack even in this holy month of Ramandan. As a part of the centrally declared program, Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka city unit, Chittagong city unit, Khulna city unit, Sylhet city and different districts level unit of Jamaat-e-Islami observed the demonstration program peacefully.

Addressing the programs, the Jamaat leaders claimed, the brutality of the Israeli forces have exceeded all the previous records. By killing innocent civilians including women and children, Israeli soldiers have caused bloodshed in the sacred land of Palestine in the month of holy Ramadan.

Attending a demonstration in the capital, Dhaka city Jamaat’s assistant secretary and party’s central working committee member Mohammad Salim Uddin has urged the United Nations, Arab League and OIC to take effective steps to stop the Israeli genocide immediately.

The Jamaat leader said, Israeli soldiers have demolished the Palestinian establishments without any reason. Paying no heed to the recommendation of the world community, Israeli authorities are continuing their merciless attack upon the civilians of the Gaza strip. The Israeli attacks have caused a massive humanitarian crisis in the region already, he added.

Israeli attacks have made thousands of Palestinians homeless and they are running here and there for safe shelter. Despite such deplorable situation, world community did not take any effective steps to convince the Israeli authority to hold a cease fire, saying that, Jamaat leaders urged the international organizations including UN to take prompt initiative in this regard.
