Jamaat delegation meets Palestinian ambassador in Dhaka; condemns Israeli brutal attack; extends sympathy to the Gaza victims

A 4 member delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, led by its Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman visited the Palestinian embassy in Dhaka on 3rd August, 2014 Sunday and met the Palestinian ambassador to Bangladesh and head of the diplomatic core Mr. Shaher Mohammad. The other 3 members of the delegation are central working committee member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Assistant Secretary of the central publicity department of the party Matiur Rahman Akanda and Barrister Nazibur Rahman Momen.

During the meeting, the Jamaat delegation handed over a letter to the Palestinian ambassador, which is written by party’s Ameer Maqbul Ahmed to the Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas. In this letter, Mr. Maqbul Ahmed severely condemns and protests the brutal Israeli attack in Gaza in past couple of days. He extended deep sympathy to the deceased and injured victims of these attacks and their friends and families who had experienced this barbarous Israeli aggression. He also urged the world Muslims and the peace loving people of the world to stand by the Palestinians. Besides, he calls upon the world humanity to protest and to raise voice against the Israeli genocide and state backed terrorisms.
